“We wanted to honor my beloved daughter and give back to her friends, her school and the community, with a special emphasis on at-risk and disadvantaged youth”. – Todd Lewis
The Carly Jean Lewis Playground is a Non Profit dedicated to our youth and the growth of disc golf as a healthy family activity. We do this in a number of different ways. Primarily by design and installation of new courses, we hope to bring the game of disc golf to more people in more places. We also have a Discs for Kids program where we coach and distribute new and gently used discs to children for free.
Our design team will exceed your expectations and all funds help us continue to maintain & improve our courses as well as hold tournaments and events, where players of all ages can compete to win gear and prizes.
Everyone can enjoy disc golf! It’s a social sport of strategy that provides great exercise and gets people outside and playing. Kids need all of that and a safe place to do it.
Steady Ed Headrick, the sports creator and inventor of the Frisbee – “You will never be sorry if you install a disc golf course in your facility. You will be honored by the players and take great comfort in the fact that disc golf will change your park, and perhaps you will be as fortunate as I am, and disc golf will change your life as it has mine”.
I would like to highly recommend doing business with Todd Lewis from Carly Jean Lewis Playground. Our neighborhood association approached Todd to help us design a course for our small playground. Todd was a delight to work with. He followed up on every email with prompt advice. We appreciated his expertise in disc golf and his great enthusiasm for the sport.
Best of all, Todd was very flexible in working with the needs and concerns of the association members. Together we were able to satisfy everyone, and our children and families are enjoying the sport together in our park.
Todd has a way of making everyone feel welcome and his upbeat personality is contagious. He is very committed to his non-profit’s mission of bringing the sport to as many people in our area as possible. I really enjoyed working with him on this project and was proud to call him “friend”.

Last year at about this time our Lions Club began work on building a disc golf course. Fortunately I had been given the name of Todd Lewis, certainly one of the most dedicated if not the very most dedicated person in northern Michigan at helping others with disc golf in any fashion, whether it be building courses or running tournaments. Todd helped with every facet of building our course including the course design, initial clearing, selecting baskets, tee pads, and signage for the course. Every time I ran into a problem Todd was there with the solution. When it was time for our Grand Opening, Todd scheduled a tournament and ran it to get our course the exposure a new course needs. Players of all levels seem to love our course.
Todd is held in high regard by his peers and goes out of his way to promote disc golf. Were we to build another disc golf course, I assure you Todd Lewis would be my right hand man.
